The all-protection transport vehicle (ATF) Dingo has developed into a true all-rounder in the Bundeswehr since its introduction in 2000. Both Dingo 1 and Dingo 2 ideally combine protection, off-road mobility and speed. The ATF Dingo 2 GE A3.3 PatSi variant has been in use as a patrol and security vehicle in Afghanistan since 2012. Thanks to the excellent mine protection through the V-shaped deflector under the safety cell, the 6 occupants are optimally protected. For self-protection, it is usually equipped with a weapon station of the type FLW 200, which can optionally be equipped with a cal.50 (12.7 mm) MG or a 40 mm machine grenade weapon.
